01 — The Call Sign
Why "N8 Downrange"
N8 is the easy part — it's just Nate, said the way a call sign gets shortened on a range card. Downrange is the part that does the work. It's the direction every shooter is taught to respect, the open ground past the firing line where the targets sit and where mistakes get expensive. It's also where the learning actually happens.
Put together, the name covers both jobs this page has to do: it's Nate's handle, and it's a promise about the content — every post is something tested, not just talked about. That's the lens for every caption, every reel, every piece of gear this account touches.
Downrange n.
The distance between where you're standing and where the work actually happens. Where the target is. Where the danger is. Where you find out what works, and why.
02 — Logo System
Primary Mark & Avatar Lockup
The wordmark is the everyday tool — clean, legible, and built from the same chamfered, locked-together letterforms whether it's two inches wide on a business card or filling a banner.

Primary mark. Default for everything — intro slides, watermarks, merch, anywhere the wordmark needs to carry the brand on its own. Renders dark; give it a light or mid-tone background.
03 — Mascot Marks
The Bear, Two Ways
Same bear, two postures. Use whichever one matches what's actually happening in the post.
04 — Clear Space & Minimum Size
Give It Room to Breathe
The dashed guides below mark the minimum clear space around the mark — one grid unit (the width of a dashed circle) on every side, kept clear of text, edges, and other logos.
Do
- Keep the full clear space on every side, even when space is tight
- Use the mascot alone once the wordmark drops under ~120px wide
- Drop a solid or near-solid plate behind the mark on busy photos
- Use the approved colors straight from the palette below
Don't
- Stretch, skew, rotate, or outline the mark
- Recolor it outside the palette, including gradients not shown here
- Add drop shadows or bevels beyond the approved glow treatment
- Crowd it against busy photo backgrounds with no buffer
05 — Color System

A dark, tactical base with one bright accent — the same phosphor green that lights up the night-vision tubes in the mascot mark.

06 — Typography
Three Voices, One Job Each
Typography: "N8" - Custom made. "Downrange", headings: Black Ops One (Google Font). A stencil display face for impact, a clean grotesk for anything someone has to actually read, and a mono face for the technical bits — specs, hex codes, captions.

BodyCaptions, bios, copy
Trained, tested, and carried downrange before it ever shows up in a post. This is the voice for captions, bios, and product write-ups — direct, a little dry, no filler.
